Their conversation covers many topics including the Russian invasion of Ukraine with whom Moldova shares a border, how the country has handled the recent influx of Ukrainian refugees and if Moldova may be Russia’s next target. In addition, the conversation touches Moldova’s history, people and hopes for the future given the former Soviet republic’s unique position in Eastern Europe.
