This week Dennis Wholey speaks with Domingos Sarmento Alves, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste. Their conversation touches on the unique history of the small nation, its incredibly diverse cultural background and what life is like for the people of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste.

Additionally, the Ambassador shares his own personal story which is powerful and dramatically tied to Timor-Leste's political evolution.
